So the patriots held a meeting at the meetinghouse in Boston with 5,000 people. They were talking and thinking of what to do about the tea. When the fresh load of imported tea came to Boston. The patriots thought of an idea to dress up as Indians. So the Indians would get blamed. So the patriots boarded the ship the Boston tea party was going to begin. It was about midnight the people that did this. Were called the sons of liberty the leader of this was Samuel Adams. They dumped over 300 chests of tea in the Boston harbor. They were dumping chests and chests they did not want high taxes. They meant they wanted them low it occurred 1773. They destroyed tea just to get rid of taxes. It made England mad they wanted to go to war. With them so that started the American Revolution. Paul Revere took a part in the Boston tea party he was also annoyed that the taxes were to high. The patriots had a temperament they wanted to get attention and that is what they did. By starting the American Revolution the parliament in 1774 passed the collection of punitive laws.
