The Soviet Union changed history for the worse and the better. They almost started a nuclear war by firing missiles at the U.S. from Cuba. But the U.S. held a naval blockade and demanded the Soviets remove the missiles. They obliged. The Soviet Union has been a very important country in the 20th century. As Vladimir Putin said “Whoever does not miss the Soviet Union has no heart. Whoever wants it back has no brain.” They started and ended wars. They were at tension with the U.S. for many years.
