The film industry learned Disney’s plans to produce an animated feature length version of Snow White. Walt used the Silly Symphonies as a platform for experiments. The new technique was first used by Walt in 1937 and it was a motion picture camera. Development and training was used to increase quality at the studio. The feature went into full production in 1934 and continued until mid 1937. Walt had to show a rough cut of the motion picture to loan officers. The film premiered at Carthay Circle theater and it occurred on December 21, 1937. The film became most successful motion picture of 1938, and earned about 8 million dollars. Disney received one full size and seven miniature statuettes. He was able to build a new campus for the Walt Disney studios in Burbank. It was opened for business on December 24, 1939.
