In “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald Jay Gatsby was murdered by a man named Wilson who thought he killed his wife. Many characters in the story had affected the outcome of his life. Daisy had killed Myrtle and Wilson had thought it was Gatsby, Tom gave Wilson false information about who killed his wife, Gatsby decided to continue driving after Myrtle's death instead of telling the police. All these people caused Gatsby to die whether it was by accident or on purpose.
