Did you know that teachers and coaches have one of the biggest impact on young kids? Craig Hutton, a teacher and coach, has had a huge impact on kids lives for the last 32 years. Mr. Hutton does not realize how much he means to me and others. He does it because he loves teaching and coaching basketball. By volunteering, teaching, and coaching Mr. Hutton is a hero to many kids.
As a teacher, Craig Hutton impacts kids on a daily basis. ¨[The] power of an effective teacher is something almost all of us have experienced and understand on a personal level¨ (Tucker and Stronge) Hutton has been teaching third and fourth grade student for 32 years. Hutton love young kids and working with them. In high school he worked at a daycare/preschool center. Mr. Hutton loves being a little kid sometimes also. When I was in his class my class would get crazy and he would make us get up and start dancing to…show more content… He volunteers to be one of the youth group leaders at his church. Hutton´s religion is something very important to him. One time when we were in class he got a phone call which had never happened before. He picked his phone up and said he had to answer it. When he answered the phone, straight sadness came on his face. It looked as if he was going to cry. The rest of the class started looking at each other scared. When he got off the phone, he told us that his daughter was sick and was not reacting so well to the medicine. After he talked, he went and talked to the office and he came and got his thing. He told us if we were religious to pray for his daughter. During that time he tried to stay as calm as possible so we wouldn't freak out. Another thing Craig loves to do help with is anything to do with basketball. He does free camps for young kid in the summer. Also referees little kid basketball game when West Delaware holds tournaments for travel ball. Hutton says ¨I have the opportunity to positively impact future
