The Jurisdiction and System of Juvenile Justice: How Does It Work? Having a difficult time understanding the juvenile justice system and its jurisdiction over juveniles as a parent, guardian, or just for fun? Having a child in the juvenile system can be a long, hard, and confusing process. Many parents and guardians do not fully grasp what is happening in court because of the vocabulary or other factors.
