The students who realized why the cafeteria is charging for extra ketchup have had positive effects on their behavior. These students discovered that the cafeteria was only charging for extra ketchup because of the students who have no respect for others' money or labor. Some students would grab huge handfuls of ketchup, use only one or two packs and then throw the rest away. There were also some kids who throw their extra ketchup on the floor for people to step on. They find it very amusing to see ketchup squirted all over the floor and all over the student's clean clothing. After causing such a large mess they walk away leaving the cafeteria ladies to clean up the entire mess that should be cleaned up by the student who originally placed the ketchup on the floor.

Some kids are very mad about having to pay for the ketchup they get. To keep from paying, some children have resorted to stealing. Students will stuff their pockets with ketchup and then act like they did nothing wrong. These students have also made messes on the tables to get back at the cafeteria for charging for ketchup packs.

Now, thanks to these students, the cafeteria ladies have had to watch for robbers. If they catch someone, then the school has to spend their precious time calling parents, deciding on a punishment and much more.

As one can see, there are both positive and negative effects on behavior caused by charging for ketchup. The school should continue charging for ketchup for several reasons. One, it brings out more good behavior than bad. Furthermore, it will show the mischievous students that the school won't give in to what they want because of bad
