On the first point, I believe that Max's arrival causes radical change to the Wild Things' society in that it causes the Wild Things to suddenly idolize and look to something for life fulfillment (in this case, Max). With Max present, the Wild Things have someone to obey, yet to share a form of happiness with. This leads to my questions of whether the Wild Things are better off with a controlling/superior figure like Max in their lives. Similarly, is a dog better off with humans as superiors in their lives (like we had touched on today)?
