The Grapes Of Wrath, written by John Steinbeck, ultimately shows how people in a community work better than those who are alone. Steinbeck's masterful book ultimately shows resilience of the human spirit. Steinbeck has many references to the Holy Bible and more importantly the story of Moses and the parting of the Red Sea. The most obvious example of this is at the beginning there were dust storms. Egypt is known for having dust storms and sand. And at the end, the parting of the red sea is similar to the flood.
