Throughout the past few years, there has been a dramatic social decline in America. Technology is the cause of this decline and is causing problems in families, the workplace, and in social events. Cell phones and computers have taken the attention of many teenagers.
The frequent use of technology has caused many families to grow apart. Many children and young adults are more concerned about updating their social media accounts than spending quality time with their families. What used to be family game night has now turned into alone time in one's room. Family time spent together is especially important for people of older age. The older generation did not grow up with a portable cell phone in their hand. All they had was quality time with friends and family. For example, one way they had fun was by going outside in the yard and playing on the swings. In today's time, most children would rather stay inside and play video games on their xbox.
