 M- Militarism: Nations built huge armies which would defend themselves and also help to gain those empires.
 A- Anarchy: No international organization would help them deal with all their problems.  L- Leadership: Poor, just look at their system and how they set it up. Very poor indeed. It has been shown that the industrial era has had many effects, not the least as of which was the plunging the world in to World War 1. Some must consider the relationships between the eras and the events as whether one is a student of history or not. The industrial era created this preconceived notion that America was in need of raw materials and markets for goods. The willingness to use these newly created armies is known as Militarism, which as one can imagine the nations started to begin to sign secret treaties that were forming alliances while Europe was being divided into an armed camp.

When the Russians were under attack by Germany, France was obligated to declare war as well on Germany as the result of a treaty that she has signed previously with Russia. When the
