The guards in concentration camps dehumanized prisoners by taking away all of the prisoners' personal identification like a name then replace it with a number, therefore making the prisoners consider themselves to be objects. The guards would then treat them like slaves using them to support the war by making the necessary items needed. In the book, "Night" Wiesel said that the fact that they had to run without any clothes on made him feel not like a human even though he only just arrived in the camps. Stripping someone of their identity to the point that even the victim feels inhuman. I feel sorry for all those who had lost their lives because one person convinced so many people that groups of certain people were a threat to the Aryan race. Most people can't even think of killing another person even though their leader told them to. Dehumanization is happening every day in the Military; they dehumanize prisoners of war so the soldiers won't form a bond with the enemy and, therefore, can interrogate them.
