Honours Seminar

How can Honours become better? The Florida Memorial Honours Program is already a pretty amazing program, I believe we have accomplished a lot throughout the year and I am extremely proud of being a part of something that has such a great impact. But as in any institution there is always room for change and improvement. In honours we all really only socialize and hang out amongst ourselves particularly my group, and so i think we should have our own honours dorms first and foremost then have a room or a lounge where we can get to know each other better; where we can be ourselves without the influences of the Florida memorial campus and other students, where we can relax, have fun, study and do any other activity we choose to. I believe we need more involvement from all members, freshmen and upper-class men alike. There should be more ways for us to socialize and get to know every person in the honours program not just see new people every time we attend an honours meeting. We have a large honours program body but most of us especially freshmen would never know that.
Our outings and activities should be made mandatory for every member and if you cannot make it have a valid reason why. We need to have a more united front not only in the eyes of people looking and scrutinizing us but for our own development and effectiveness.
The Honours Program should have more distinguished clothing separate from our honours polo shirts. Something that shows our polished sophisticated side, that holds up to the standards of the honours
