Survival, a term used to explain when you must continue to live, and it mostly refers to the concept when you’re in an area where survival is mostly impossible. In an are like that you must do your best to survive, even if you must do something risky like killing an animal without a gun, or perhaps to start a fire without a match. Some say that when you try to survive for quite too long, you begin to lose your very sanity. You begin to go from a social being to a savage. But is that the case? Can you blame it on the land and the need to survive? Or is it possible that the nature of humanity is the true monster in this tale? Well, the only way to try and explain is to look at the story of “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding.

Upon arrival, all of the characters are lost and confused about the area they reside in. Which sparks the idea to work together to ensure any survival, since they are lost upon this island and they have no idea how to get around. Upon a closer look around, they begin to get used to the island and began to work together to hunt for food and get wood for shelter and fire. Their first serious conflict actually focused on the island and their own desires, the males want to hunt, but they also need to watch over a fire that is at the center of the island, but since it’s rather far, it causes their first attempt to be saved to fail horribly. Later, a being that exists in the island known as the ‘Lord of the Flies’ appears, and the hunt is on to find it, the conflicts over the success of killing this being and whether or not it exists. The hunger for wild swine, the desire to prove the existence of a monstrosity and kill it, and the loss of any chance to get home were more than enough to turn a quiet and peaceful utopia into a territorial land full of childish
