Still, with lots of work to be done and not knowing his true bearing and whereabouts, he decided to leave as much as he could in his boat and make his way into the cabin almost having to use all his strength even to get the door open. Luckily for him, he was able to get inside, and it actually survived pretty well for these many years but definitely needed to be aired out. The stale stench of fishing gear locked inside this cabin almost knocked him out, so he left the door open and was able to open the shutters getting enough of a crosswind coming through too quickly air out the cabin as much as possible.

Then he found the small paddle and in a large clump of mud he noticed snails, then some of the largest earthworms he has ever seen, so it was almost second nature, he was so tired and actually didn't have to think much about it. He could see his hands fix the hooks, set the lines and just pushed off a little bit to attach the lines to different buoys bobbing on the water in and out and in a matter of minutes, he could feel the tug of several fish hooked on many different laid out lines at various depths.
