Triangle Shirtwaist Fire Essay Isn't it intriguing that many accidents happen every year that are preventable if some individuals made an effort to follow safety guidelines? Throughout history, there have been many major accidents that were preventable if the authorities followed safety procedures. The conditions in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory made it easy for fire to begin. Due to these poor conditions, fires easily began which caused many immigrant workers to lose their lives. The government, employers, and employees should all follow certain requirements in order to prevent accidents, like the one in the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, from ever occurring. The employer has to provide a workplace for the employees which are free from hazards and dangers. The employer has make sure that employees are using safe equipment and using it correctly. The employer should also place signs or warnings of possible hazards. The employer should enroll in a safety class which talks about how people can be safe during a incident in the workplace. For example, many workplaces have warnings and signs for incidents that could occur in the work area. Many incidents could happen like building fire, machine malfunction, etc. In the Triangle Shirtwaist factory fire there weren't many safety procedures in order to get out safely. The door in which the workers enter were locked so they have break it open. There weren't any signs showing how to get out of the situation so they just randomly did stuff which lead them straight to
