The early years are about what happened in the years before the voyages and all the sailing stuff. Christopher columbus was born in Genoa, Italy “Genoa was an imprtant seaport with a long seatrading tradition” According to world book online” “he was born sometime between Aug. 25-Oct. 31, 1451, in Genoa, Italy” according to world book online. Even from boyhood he was always interested in the sea and always wanted to sail it.
