Howard garden discover seven distinct intelligences theories. He believe that there are different ways for learning and everyone do not learn things the same way. Everyone thinks in a unique way. You can teach a class full of students the same material, but each student may grasp the information in different ways. According to Gardner, most people can identified themselves in one of these seven intelligences: musical, kinesthetic logical/mathematical, spatial, interpersonal, linguistic, and intrapersonal. I believe this theory is significant because the results to solving problems will be completed more effectively.
Gardner spoke of musical intelligences, which is the ability to learn through rhythm and sound, appreciation of musical patterns. This type of learner may find it easier to learn while playing music in the background when they’re study or completing school work. Sometimes, to help the student study, they may use lyrics to help them remember what they’re learning. For, kinesthetic intelligences, they learn through movement of the body. This type of learner may be advanced in learning how to dance, making things, fixing things or playing a sport. Actually, working hands-on can benefit this learner. The logical/ mathematical intelligences is the problem solver out of the seven intelligences theories. They may work well with number and patterns. These learners need all the details to a situation, so they can solve the problem. It has been discovered, that investigators are logical/ mathematical learners. They have a high ability to solve mysteries because of their way of intelligences thinking. The Spatial intelligences in my opinion is the daydreamer of the seven intelligences. They also, seem to see the world in third dimensional form, they have an incredible imagination. These learners can work well in maps, models, graphics, photographs, and charts. Interpersonal intelligences are the communicators. They need to be around and work with people all the time. They work wells in groups. The linguistic learn through words and language. They know how to use their words effectively and find it easy to express themselves verbally. For example, Reading out loud can help this learner comprehend and learn better.
