Once upon a time many years ago, a group of young and smart men gathered in the town of Highland Park to set up a limited government. All that was agreed on was documented in a constitution. In the constitution they included multiple a amendments, such as the 10th amendment that stated t the stealing of someone else’s property was illegal. E They wanted the new limited government to “secure the bl blessings of liberty” to all citizens. However, there was a King George that ruled the town of Highland Park
and when the group of men brought their Constitution to him all he did was laugh.
The citizens living in Highland Park kept to themselves ec because if they didn’t their voices would never be heard on ce certain decisions. The kings’ government was neither a com complete dictatorship nor parliamentary government although because although he listened to their input he often didn’t all allow them to exercise free rights. So when the group of men brought their constitution to him it was heard all over the news. Soon all of the grants that were once given to the group of men had been revoked. The king took away the block grant he had given to one of the men and his family soon began to suffer. One of the men owned a family business and soon enough that was ripped from him when his categorical grant was revoked. Another one of the men had recently asked for a project grant to fix the holes in road next to his home, the king made it obvious he would not be getting this grant. A few weeks later the group of men met together to discuss the events that had taken place. The cried out for their constitution to be heard and decided they would go to the king for a compromise. So off the group of men went to see King George for the second time in hopes of a limited government.
When the men approached the king again they spoke kinder than the first time and yet King George still adamant on them being ridiculous. The king said to the men “there is nothing wrong with my government and I and shall not listen to your ridiculous input on how to run Highland Park.” The men proceeded to tell the king about the the compromise they’d come up with. “If we could come to an understanding it could benefit you and us” said the group as a whole. But even after listening to the men plead their case the king didn’t budge.
After being dismissed the group of men feared what privileges the king would revoke now. With the king still not interested in their constitution the group of men decided to get together the following week to see what changes they might add to the agreement to make it more appealing to the king. When the time came the men met together at one of their houses to discuss the changes. However, no one felt that any changes were necessary to the constitution. There was a
