A topic for my portfolio can be shaping the health research agenda from the world health organization. WHO is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends. The system is based on inequalities or disparities within the population, the health system responsiveness with a combination of patient satisfaction and how well the system acts, how well people of varying economic status find that they are served by the health system, and who pays the costs.
Another topic for my portfolio can be Autism Spectrum Disorder from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC is a federal agency that is managed by the Department of Health and Human Services and conducts and supports health promotion, prevention and preparedness activities in the United States with the goal of improving overall public health. The CDC works with partners at the local, state, and national level to monitor and prevent disease outbreaks (including bioterrorism), implement disease prevention strategies and maintain national health statistics. They also leads public health efforts to prevent and control infectious and chronic diseases, injuries, workplace hazards, disabilities and environmental health threats.
