Huck referred to freeing Jim as “dirty low-down business; but what if it is?” he questioned (225) Now that Huck has reformed himself and established his values, he begins to help others improve their lives. While freeing a slave may not seem like an extremely liberal concept in the 21st century, in 1800’s Huckleberry Finn was a revolutionary. While different actions may impact people on a much larger scale, and change the world, Huck is changing Jim’s world; and changing one person’s world makes you worthy, selfless and rare.
