One of the different things in the novel and the book is how, in the book, Huck obtained six thousand gold in the cave with Tom Sawyer, but in the movie, Tom Sawyer did not exist and Huck's mother gave him six hundred dollars in her will. Also, another minor difference was the Grangerford and Shepherdson feud had been going on for 20 years and the book and in the movie, the feud had been going on for 30 years. Huck also became friends with Buck Grangerford in the novel, but in the movie, the Huckleberry Finn became friends with Billy Grangerford. The last difference of considerable importance was how the Duke and the King were tarred and feathered. The book had the pair caught later on, however in the film they were caught immediately. The synonymity between the book and the movie are easily perceived. Though the differences are too. Nevertheless, the film does leave out key details from the book.
