Respiratory System
The respiratory system is a group of organs and tissues that help you breathe. The main thing of the respiratory system is to move fresh air into the lungs and take out waste gases out of the body. The lungs are important because it is needed by every cell in your body. The air comes into the body to the lungs that has oxygen and gases and then is moved though out the bloodstream to all the cells in your body. The bloodstream then takes the waste gas back to the lungs where the waste gas is removed from the bloodstream by exhaling. The important steps to breathing it is the way your diaphragm moves and the other muscles in your chest, neck and stomach moves. When these parts moves it lets you inhale and exhale. If you have an injury to your upper spinal cord it can cause you to stop breathing.
