Human trafficking is the trade in humans, most commonly for the purpose of forced sexual slavery, labor or commercial sexual exploitation for the trafficker or other figures, some undercover important political figures . Traffickers solicit these individuals for money, sex, and in some cases the illegal trading of drugs . Those who are trafficked are at an immense risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases, which also increases their risk for serious diseases such as HIV. Trafficking victims are more susceptible to violent or dangerous sex practices that allow viruses to more easily enter the body. Human trafficking is a serious public health problem and has a profound short or long-term impact on physical and mental health, such as an increased risk of sexual and reproductive health problems or an increased …show more content…
Trafficking victims experience physical problems due to bad living conditions violence inflicted upon them. Trafflicking victims are already psychology damaged because of trauma experiences , and constant physical body trauma. Additionally, the use of drugs voluntarily or involuntarily can further cause more problems emotionally, and physically. Most drugs used in trafficking are meant to bring bodily harm to the victim. Its a pill form of the drug Rohypnal which causes the taker,or in this case victim..to lose all self control, independence and slight conscious loss so that they can be raped without resistance. Most cases involve the rapist putting the disolvable pill into an unattended beverage. Another popular drug is Ketamine , Ketamine is A fast-acting liquid that can be slipped into drinks. It can be used to sedate and incapacitate individuals in order to sexually assault them.
