Dear fellow Mustangs, teachers, and families.

Today, we’re here to celebrate this remarkable occasion. Our journey at Miller has been filled with excitement, from the very first day to the last.

Recall our 6th grade year at Miller. We returned to campus after two years of distance learning, due to the pandemic. Despite masks hiding our faces, we felt the thrill of being together again.

As 6th graders, we were shy, trying not to step outside our comfort zones, and just discovering middle school. Responsibility grew as we tackled daily homework and studied for quizzes and tests. From clubs and after school activities, we nurture friendships.

You might’ve heard the phrase “It’s always a great day to be a Mustang”, but let’s face it: we had our share of not-so-great days. Remember the first time you made a careless mistake on something and felt embarrassed for days? Or when you left your homework at home the day it was due? There were ups and downs, just like a roller coaster ride.

We had different peers in each class instead of being stuck with the same people for four periods. We also unlocked a huge portion of Miller’s campus. We also had the opportunity to enroll in a wider selection of electives, in which we explored and discovered our interests.

Gradually, in these three years, we understood that being respectful and showing care for others was vital to our success. Every time we heard the words “Be RRC”, we rolled our eyes and grumbled to ourselves in annoyance, but in retrospect, we indeed did become more respectful, responsible, and caring. Each experience and each lesson helped shape us into who we are today.

Together, we made happy memories, like the Kahoots, the class parties, the dances, and the laughter. But there were conflicts, too. Everyone’s lowest dip of the roller coaster came at different times, but we all persevered through our own unique challenges, and our resilience got us to this
