Long ago, early humans were gathered into Hunter/Gatherer societies. These early humans would move place to place. They would move to keep from over hunting an area. Because they could not keep food fresh, they were always looking for things to eat. These early humans were not able to keep a lot of things with them while they went to each of the camps. These groups didn’t have any type of pack animals to move lots of things. Because their tools and weapons were made of stone, they could not carry many of them. For tens of thousands of years, early man lived in these Hunter/Gatherer groups.

After thousands of years, early man started to discover that he could plant the seeds of certain wild grasses, and would be able to harvest the seeds for food. This meant that they had to give up their hunter gather ways and settle down in one place. As these early farmers got better at farming, they started to domesticate animals like wild cattle, …show more content…
The first is the Egyptians that would build their cities along the Nile River. Once a year the Nile would flood leaving behind rich soil to plant their crops. The population of Egypt would go up because of the large food supplies. The people of Egypt started building Pyramids and Monuments to their pharod. They also started to build other thing to show the greatness of their people. Later, the Sumerians started to build their own civilization along the Tigris & Euphrates Rivers. Sumerian created organized religion with the Priest King at the top of the chain. They also build Temple warehouses to keep food for a rainy day. Finally, the early Indus people build two great cities along the Indus River valley, Harappa and Mohenjo-daro. This cities were built with the citadel in the center and home spread around them. These cities were advanced for their time. They had sewer systems long before the cities of Europe. They also had temples to gods in an advance
