Miguel Gregorio Antonio Ignacio Hidalgo-Costilla y Gallaga Mandarte
Villaseño was born May 8, 1753 in Pénjamo, Mexico. His sad death came
July 30, 1811 in Chihuahua, Mexico ( 58 years ). He lived a full life and fought for what he loved... his independence. People who knew and followed him called him "The Father of Independence". He worked amongst Mexican farming families for years in Dolores, north of Mexico
City. When he started to grow tired of the way things had been he rebelled. When the royal officials learned that Father Hidalgo was conspiring to overthrow the Government, they arrested him. After this decision Hidalgo had three choices. To stay and be arrested, run away or start a revolution.
He chose to rebel... On September 16, 1810
