Immanuel Kant’s notion of the noumenal and the phenomenal worlds is interesting because he is saying that there is knowledge out there that is not learned through experiences. Noumenal is the world beyond the scope of human knowledge, for example, like higher level forms as Plato stated. Phenomenal world is where we see the world through our senses and experiences. Since the noumenal world is knowledge we can’t even begin to understand, how do we really know it exist? Kant’s understanding of knowledge is very interesting since he added another world we cannot understand.

Schopenhauer believed that the world is structured according to the will, for example, desire is simply those things that aid in the satisfaction of our will. Meaning the
