On July 17, 1862, Congress advanced the Second Confiscation and the Militia Act. Saving the slaves who earned masters in the Confederate Army. “By the end of the Civil War, roughly 179,000 black men 10% of the Union Army served as soldiers in the U.S. Army and another 19,000 served in the Navy.” All Americans help in a way they help each other they help the U.S. A lot of slaves were helped during the Civil War. Even though not all Americans get along or don’t agree with others opinions people in the U.S. help everyone. America is united. We are united because we help others in need and we fight as one not as two.

Others in need
During Apollo 13 multiple people helped three men get back to earth. The people working at NASA used their time and instead of going home to their families the people working at NASA stayed to help. It took more than 30 hours to save apollo 13. The people working at NASA worked non stop to save three men’s lives.

People took their time to help others rebuild homes. The us donated money for people that were badly hit. According to “usa today” during hurricane harvey 32 year old Annie Smith was about to deliver a baby. Her husband and herself had called 911 several times but, got no response. The water was just too high to reach Annie and her husband, so the neighbors and some firefighters constructed a life saving chain by standing hand to hand and foot to foot as Annie and her husband crawled down. Lot’s of Americans had helped others survive the circumstances that were caused in Hurricane Harvey. Tragic times had happened during Hurricane Harvey.
