Privacy

There are same and different aspects of culture between America culture and Taiwan culture. I think the most different culture is privacy, because there are too many cases that people do not respect others privacy around me. I consider that many people in Taiwan ignore privacy. And there are three main differences about privacy between America and Taiwan.
First, the absolute power of parents in Taiwan is an important reason to explain why people in Taiwan do not care about privacy. For example, many parents in Taiwan can enter their children’s room without their permission, and can check everything in their children’s room. This phenomenon means that many parents do not teach their children how to respect others privacy since their childhood. I am sure that the children will become the same kind of parents in the future. But I think this situation would not happened in the U.S..
Second, I think crowd environment in Taiwan is another reason to support the idea. There are more than twenty-three millions of people live in Taiwan, where is a very small island. Most of the people in Taiwan have to live in a little apartment with many neighbor. The resident live really closed, so sometimes we can easily heard the voice from neighbor. Because they grow up in this environment, people usually bother others accidently. This situation is already become a part of Taiwan culture, and I believe that this part of culture really influent the importance of privacy in people’s
