Exam expository essay plan to be ‘YOUnique’

What I used to do: X
Separated body paragraphs into different examples / texts i.e.
1. Introduction
2. Evidence from The Quiet American or Life of Galileo as it relates to the prompt.
3. External example 1
4. External example 2 (minimum of two)
5. Conclusion
This is very structured and very boring… not much in the way of ‘wow-factor’ or flow. IF I MANAGED TO GET HIGH GRADES WITH THIS STRUCUTE, I CAN CERTAINLY GAIN MORE MARKS BY PUTTING MY OWN INDIVIDUAL SPIN.
What I am going to do: 
1. Introduction
2. External example 1
And then briefly intertwine evidence (TWO TO THREE SENTENCES) from either The Quiet American or Life of Galileo as it relates to both the example given and prompt (ONLY DO ONE?)
*PERHAPS CONSIDER SWITCHING THE FIRST EXTERNAL EXAMPLE AND INTRODUCTION AROUND TO BE MORE UNIQUE. AN EXTERNAL EXAMPLE COULD BE MORE EYECATCHING THAN AN INTRODUCTION.
3. External example 2
And then briefly intertwine evidence (TWO TO THREE SENTENCES) from either The Quiet American or Life of Galileo as it relates to both the example given and prompt (ALTERNATE FROM THE TEXT CHOSEN ABOVE?)

4. External example 3 (minimum of three)
And then briefly intertwine evidence (TWO TO THREE SENTENCES) from either The Quiet American or Life of Galileo as it relates to both the example given and prompt (GO BACK TO FIRST TEXT DISCUSSED)

5. Conclusion
KEEP VERY SHORT!

Why the change?
In terms of structure, all of my expository essays are set out the same;
