My position is that there should be an increase to minimum wage. The topic on minimum wage increment has been debated for a very long time. From the White House to the coffee shops, and in homes all across the United States of America with few or no results that are either in support or otherwise. Just recently, the food workers in the fast food industry went on a strike demanding for their wages to be increased. Unluckily, their efforts only got the media’s attention since their wages remained the same. Although an increase to the minimum wage will not end poverty, an increase to it would decrease the number of low-income workers as well as the numbers of people unemployed.
