Studies have shown people who receive or taken medication and therapy had a significant increase in control of their disorder(PTSD History...1). This is why I believe that PTSD can be treated. There is a common misconception that only people in the military can receive PTSD. This is false. Anybody that had seen or been apart of a traumatic situation can get PTSD. The goal of group therapy is to show that other people have similar experiences and has gone through the same stuff(Treatment...1). This can be helpful for somebody that has PTSD because, they can ask somebody that went through the same things as they did and see how they got over or how they are dealing with it at that moment(Treatment...1). Family therapy can help people with PTSD by making the person feel loved and thought of(Treatment...1). Family therapy benefits both the person with PTSD and the family. It helps the family understand the person with PTSD and they can love and nourish them.
