Pit Bulls are a great breed of dog
Attention: Okay raise your hands if you have heard the stigma that Pit Bulls are a bad breed? Did you guys know that this breed is widely misunderstood? Just from an article that Noelle Swan wrote apparently, “350 dogs ranging in age from just several days to 10-12 years, had been left to suffer in extreme heat with no visible fresh water or food. Many are emaciated with scars and wounds consistent with dog fighting, and some were tethered by chains and cables that were attached to cinder blocks and car tires," the ASPCA …show more content…
“Since June of 2014, at least nine communities in the Midwest have overturned pit bull bans that were on the books and over the past two years, more than 100 municipalities across the USA have overturned bans and other restrictions that target dogs in the pit bull family” (Aamer Madhani from USA Today).

A. Moving forward
1. With the label that these dogs have it has risen the amount of Pit Bulls in shelters throughout the U.S. and we can change that if we try.
2. If we all start learning about this breed we will see how they are loving companions and they are heroes by saving some people and guardians from harm.
B. Creating a solution
1. As long as we keep this stereotype of this dog they will continue to be the leading dogs in the shelter. They won’t be adopted as easily as others due to their “aggressive tendencies” and will continue to be abused.
2. We need to stand up and fight for this creature that can’t stand up for themselves. We can do it if we all start to band together and educate others and ourselves.
