International trade and business in general has become more important in today’s economy than in past years, and with it the international disputes and legal issues have also grown. When a company does business with another country and there is a dispute, the parties involved would have needed to add to their contracts: which law would be used and which court had jurisdiction. When an American company does business with another country, there are going to be conflicts in the laws and customs of each country, this should be expected. In some countries the government runs everything. For example, a company in China breaches an agreement, the Chinese company did not intend to breach, but was essentially forced to by the government. This is similar to what happened in the simulation. CadMex took a hit financially because the government forced subsidization of the generic medication because of an outbreak of an epidemic. The cultural differences are just as challenging, sometimes even more so than the differences in law. When Korean business men come to America to have a meeting, if a woman is sent instead of a man, some Korean business men are highly offended and may decide not to go ahead with the meeting. In some parts of the Middle East, the men will not even look at a woman, much less sit and talk to her about business dealings. The United States Court of
