Every human being has a personality that determines their limits of success. For example, if you love to play video games and you know how to work with computers really well then you would consider going into computer engineering or anything that involves computers. But I am different from that example. I love to travel and explore new cultures and ideas from a different person’s perspective. I am a very caring person. I always put people before myself. If I want something bad enough I work really hard for it until I succeed my goal. I’ve always loved little kids and they seem to love me too. My family and friends have always told me that when I get older I should have a career that involves working with children because I am really good with them. This is when I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in nursing, but not just basic nursing I wanted to be a neonatal nurse practitioner and/or a travelling nurse that helps in the delivery room. My first choice in careers is to be neonatal nurse practitioner. A neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) is “a special nurse who is trained to provide intensive care to premature or ill newborn babies.” “The nurse works along the side of a physician and preforms many skilled procedures such as, monitoring incubators, administering medication, and resuscitating babies born with respiratory disorders.” (Neonatal Nurse Practitioner , 2012) This career fits my personality because of the fact that I am so caring, I put people first before myself, and that I love kids. Since I love kids I know how to handle them and I know what and what not to do. If I put myself first before others proves that I would fit well into a health career because in the health profession you have to always put others first because their life is on the line and you have to be the one to save them. My second choice in careers is to be a traveling delivery nurse. A traveling nurse is a “registered nurse that travels to a place in the United States and work in a certain field.” “The positions are typically assignment based, lasting approximately 13 weeks. All the assignments are full time travel nurse jobs with 36-40 hour work weeks.” (Technologies, 2009) I love to travel more than just about anything. I always want to explore new things and new cultures that are juristically different from what I grew up with. As I said before I love being around babies I think they are adorable and you just don’t want to let go of them. They are remarkable human beings and I find it fascinating on how they are scientifically created. So being able to travel around the world to places I have never been before and learning new things about the state and/or country and working with babies would complete my life. It would complete my life because I would get to watch a new life come into the world and watch the population grow every day. My goal is to become either a neonatal nurse practitioner and/or a
