“R-O-W-D- I-E”?
Susan Cain is an American writer and author of the book called: Quiet, The power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking. In February 2012 she kept a speech about this book for the TED audience, which was some of the interesting ones I’ve been ever heard.
The meaning of introversion is not clear for everybody. It doesn’t mean the same to being shy. No. It is more about, that some people, who aren’t really social, are also exceptional. Why? Because there are some people, who doesn’t need all the time the social environment. I mean, they don’t need all the time their friends, they don’t have to speak to others so they don’t need in every second the social life. “They are most alive and their most switched-on and their most capable when they're in quieter, more low-key environments.”-she said. And I have to say, without those people the world wouldn’t be there, where it still holds.
There are some researches too, which explain the differences about intro- and extroversion. The main difference is that while extroverts need more stimulation, introverts don’t.
