The marketing mix for Samsung Galaxy Note Even though Samsung's goal was to sell their phones to people who wanted a phone and a tablet combination, the phone had many other attributes that brought in sales because of Samsung's continuous improvements on the product. The Samsung galaxy note targets the female market with an active, fast paced lifestyle, as well as young adults, doodlers, handheld gamers, e-book readers, photographers, tablet users an everyday businessman. (Kim, 2014) Samsung is not trying to reinvent a concept, but instead use smart market research to create a product for their customers that is fine-tuned just for their consumer’s needs. (Kapur, 2015)The Samsung galaxy Note 3 sold 50% of as many phone sales as Apple's iPhone in 2013 and Samsung dedicates 10% of their profit each year to research and marketing development. (Worstall, 2013) Samsung has over 50,000 employees in their research and development departments that focus primarily on Product research, customer surveying, focus groups and analyzing the market. (Samsung, 2015)
First, the Samsung Galaxy Note targets the female market with an active, fast paced lifestyle who are interested in a tablet that they could use on the go, as well as , as well as young adults, doodlers, handheld gamers, e-book readers, photographers, tablet users and everyday businessman. They target these groups because their research and development team has determined that these groups are looking for a gadget with all the functions of a cell phone with the features, feel and size of a tablet. (Kapur, 2015) Samsung is not trying to reinvent a concept from scratch, but instead use smart market research to create a product for their consumers that is fine-tuned just for all of their everyday needs, as well as business needs and even recipes for dinner. The Samsung galaxy Note 3 sold 50% of as many phone sales as Apple's iPhone. (Worstall, 2013) The features of the Samsung galaxy seemed to be endless. The two most important things to consider about whether a phone of this size is going to be right for you would be the look in this size. The Samsung galaxy note 3 has evolved to show consumers that while big, it can still be thin and light weight. It features a brilliant 5.1 inch full HD screen, a 13 megapixel camera, multiple screen viewing options, a 3.2 GHz quad core snapdragon 800 processor, 3 GB of RAM, front and rear facing cameras, supports up to a 64 GB micro SD and is even capable of playing the newest HD technology which is that you HD or 4K video technology that some televisions didn't even have when it first came out. (Kim, 2014) Samsung also made sure to produce different ways of carrying the mobile device, such as wallets that include the phone inside of them and carrying cases for people who were on the go. They also changed the backing and a and covered their back with a faux- leather that they would hope to exhume luxury and makes the phone easier to hold and less likely to drop and without a doubt you cannot forget the S-Pen feature for being able to write right on the screen. Their S-Pen feature is the first of its design and Samsung has made sure to improve its tracking capabilities as well as the hand writing recognition over the last two models. This makes this galaxy note a must for notetakers, women on the go, businessmen, artists and doodlers. (Kim, 2014) Samsung has been in competition with the Apple iPhone for quite some time. When the Samsung galaxy note 3 was released it alone managed to sell 50% of all of the sales of Apple's iPhone's put together. Since Samsung has more than one model of phone, this to me seems almost epic because it means that in a 90 day. Sam songs sold more than 15 million Note 3’s. (Worstall, 2013) Samsung move from the number three ranking in 2013 to the top ranking in 2014 according to the annual
