The war ended up costing $1.06 trillion all together and this does not even compare to all the deaths that took place (Amadeo). Everyone in the war ranging from the American soldiers to the Iraqi civilians were greatly impacted and faced much loss due to the misinterpretation. Around 4,806 American soldiers died in the war and 32,246 were severely wounded (“Casualties: Afghanistan Iraq”). 171,069 to 190,809 Iraqi civilians were killed and 268,000 Iraqis were killed in total including the combatants (Iraq Body Count).
