Hamlet is relevant in 2015 because he is constantly concerned about how others perceive him. He puts on an entire antic disposition because he is fixated on peoples opinion on him. This is pertinent to today’s world because kids my age are preoccupied with how their peers see them. Kids will go beyond all lengths to convince their friends how cool they are, or how much money they have. Today kids mask themselves behind lies so that you can never know someone’s true colors. In my life, I have many disloyal and dishonest friendships. Hamlet’s close childhood friends stabbed him in the back and sided with Claudius. In my life, I have had many disloyal and dishonest friendships. My friends seem to have only their personal interests invested into the relationship. I used to blame myself for my lost friends. I used to think that it was my fault that they no longer wanted my friendship. Hamlet showed me how to stay strong throughout all diversities that come my way.
