In the book, The Warmth of Other Suns written by Isabel Wilkerson talk about the great migration from the south to north in the search of better life. There are three main characters in the book such as Ida Mae, George, and Pershing. These three main characters survive discrimination, lynch, bombing houses, the most importantly, the fear of their life Ida Mae and her family are free now in the promise land. Ida Mae finally had a good job in the hospital working with nursing and doctors. Fortunaly, she purchase her dream house, and did not moved from one flat to flat angmore. As Eleanor who Ida Mae had in her belly when she was coming to North had done with high school, and two kids on her own. James and his wife soon follow with four kids.
