On June 27, 2007, I reported for work at the Educate You campus, a large private secondary school where I work for as security. Located on 123 Alpha Lane, LaLa, North Carolina, the phone for the college is (252)-123-4567 and the fax is (252)-123-9876). Recently, Educate You has been experiencing an increase in the number of crimes such as break-ins, vandalism incidents, assaults, and even a car theft. As a result, the college has installed cameras to monitor the parking lot in order to deter the number of crimes on-campus. After arriving to work at 7:00 a.m., I started to make my rounds while the students and faculty started to attend to their early morning classes. Once I had completed my rounds, I went into my…show more content… When the man stopped next to the left-hand side of the vehicle, he moved his head from side-to-side in order to see if anyone was watching him. Next, he attempted to open the unoccupied vehicle by opening the back and front locks on the door, which were both locked. In response, the suspect placed the bag he was carry on the ground, next to the front-left tire, and remove a long object from it. With the object clasped in both hands, the suspect hit the driver’s window located on the front of the car. As a result, the bottom half of the window was completely shattered. Swiping the glass away, the suspect opened the lock on the front door. Then the suspected reached into the center of the vehicle and took a laptop. After shutting the driver’s door, the suspect placed the laptop into the black bag he had previously placed on the ground. While walking away from the vehicle, the suspect placed the long object he used to break the window into the black bag. Lastly, the suspect began to slowly walk away from the vehicle and headed towards the direction of gate that exits onto Oak Street,
Crime Scene Description
According to the security cameras, the incident transpired in a parking lot located on the east side of the college. With the front of the college facing north and onto Alpha Lane, the parking lot is subsequent to the college building. At the end of parking lot is a gate, which exits onto Oak Street and traverses with Alpha Lane. The college is the only property on the block of Alpha Lane, Oak Street, Numbers Lane (southern border), and Pine Street (western boarder).
