Jack the ripper mutilated and cut out body parts of women in England of 1888. All his victims were prostitutes, which made people believe he was trying to do society a favor. He was also known as “The Whitechapel Murderer” or “The East-end fiend” Jack the ripper has had a major impact on today’s history, because he was one of the first serial killers in the world, which made many women terrified to go out on London’s streets.

They had come from all over the world and had many different handwritings, so most were fake. There were three main letters that the police, may have really been from the killer. The first main letter started out saying “Dear boss” and the second main later was on a “Saucy Jacky” postcard. Even though they never found who the real Jack the Ripper was, they had many suspects and theories on who it could have been. One theory is that he may have actually been a girl. Since he never sexually assaulted any of the women, it made people think he may have actually been a girl. They also suspect that he was a cannibal because he would tear out parts of the body.
