1. Terms of Reference
We have team challenges to improve our basic skills one of them was communication. The purpose of this was to get to know each other because we were new to everyone this helped us build new friends work as a team and have fun. I am writing this report for my best training teacher and that is Mrs Keonilei. My personal aspect of team challenges is that it has helped us a lot we got to know each other learn what they are like.
2. Procedure
2.1. I have really enjoyed the procedure of the team challenges it is really fun. I like the way how its set up and how everyone has to participate. The best thing would be the time management for it because we have a team challenge first thing as we get in.
2.2. My team mates had enjoyed the team challenges as well and how it’s done because they all were participating none of them were left out.
2.3. I have enjoyed having my tutor this is because if it wasn’t for her we would of not had team challenges and she is the one who explains it to us
3. Findings of Team Challenges
My team is made up of 3 people and that was which is from Western Springs, and me I originally come from l.Our teams name was s this was because was from Western Springs and we were from so we named it Springs
3.2. Sculpturades
3.2.1. In this game the teacher gives each team some dough and calls up one person from each team to come up, she shows a word and you make that world out of dough but you can’t tell your team mates what it is and first team to get the right answer gets points.
3.2.2. I found Sculpturades hard in the start because it was complicated to make out of play dough but as I started getting used to it I got better and it was a lot easier, at the same time we were enjoying this because it was funny our team was just coming up with funny answers. For this team challenge we had won because my teammates guessed the right answers.
3.2.3. As a team our group worked excellent together especially because we didn’t know each other but we still got along and made our team win. Our star player was Samuel because he would just guess the answer and get it right.
3.2.4 I would give Sculpturades a rating of 9/10 because I really enjoyed this team challenge even though we were still getting to know each other.
3.3. Mad Minute
3.3.1. Mad minute is a simple game but sometimes it can get confusing, all you got to do is add 2 numbers that you get as an equation and do this until 1 minute is over. The purpose of this is to write as many as you can but you have to get them correct or else u stop at the last correct answer you had.
3.3.2. This was an individual game that we playing but we were still getting group points. I didn’t really like this game this is because I’m not really good with maths but I was still happy with my score, I did even better in the next round as I tried beating my previous score.
3.3.3. My group had tried their best they put all there effort in but results were not really good as I found out they don’t like maths either so we really didn’t enjoy this team challenge as it focussed on our weakest subject maths.
3.3.4. I would rate this game a 4/10 because our group didn’t really enjoy it but we still got to try something new out
3.4 Greedy Pig
3.4.1.This game is played when the teacher has a dice and she rolls it, you write the number down if it’s a 1,2,3,5,6 if she rolls a 4 your points get cancelled for that round. This game is kind of like gambling you have to stand up if u want points and if you think you have enough u sit down but u have to compromise with your team if they want to take the risk or not.
3.4.2. I really enjoyed this game I did get a little confused as where to write the numbers but it got interesting as we were coming to an end. What I liked about this team challenge was you have to discuss with your team
