One of the greatest mindsets of all time was Muhammad Ali. Ali was a person of integrity and great passion. One event that stands out is when he went to prison to avoid shedding blood in the Vietnam war. For more than two decades Ali lived with Parkinson's disease. Because this disease attacks the nervous system, Ali's mind and body was being strained and tested. The greatest athlete of all time did not have control of his body. However, Ali lived with great courage and he even got to initiate the 1996 Olympic Games. Ali states that "nothing in life has defeated me." He always believed in himself as a fighter and survivor.
In Jake Hovenden's "Inner Strength from Desperate Times" he reminisces about a time he realized something very important.
