The Police officers are brought under the Investigation for Mistaken Arrest of Former Tennis Player, James Blake
A former Tennis star, James Blake, who was once positioned as a top 4th tennis player in the world was slammed to the ground and arrested in a case of a credit card scam by 5 undercover police officers, on Wednesday. The incident happened, when he was standing outside the hotel, Grand Hyatt in the New York City.
James Blake was basically waiting for the car to lift him up and drove him to U.S open tennis competition, where he had to do a corporate appearance. At the moment, some white police officers reached him to get James Blake handcuffed. However, James Blake thought of the first officer as one of his high school friends or a fan who is rushing towards him for a big hug. But suddenly, he …show more content…
Despite the fact that, Blake wanted to wrap the incident quiet, but after he was inspired by his wife to vocal about the incident, he asked for the apology and assurance of ensuing results of the officer’s actions.
The five plain dressed police officers, who were involved in this mistaken attempt of arrest are brought under the investigation as Blake justified that he is having the resources to settle it down and voice to take a stand, but what about those people, who are powerless and who does not have a voice.
The justification made the New York City’s Police commissioner to present his statement with a defending tone & said that Blake has stressed the story of the incident in another angle or edge while we do what we are supposed to do. The commissioner additionally made it clear that the police officers had kept him in cuffs for a very short time, probably few minutes and arrested another man, who was standing near James Blake, in connection of a credit card
