Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the events in James Meredith’s life.
Central Idea:

According to Chambers Biographical Dictionary, James Meredith gave his life to ensuring equal rights to African Americans at a young age.
Meredith was born on June 25,1933 in Kosciusko, Ms. He grew up on a farm with nine brothers and sisters.
He had been guarded from all the racism in the world by his parents.
As he was traveling on a train he inherited his first test of racism and from that point on he told himself that he would ensure equal rights to African Americans.

When Meredith graduated college he was unable to afford college so he joined the U.S. Air Force and saved up his money.
After the Military he attended Jackson State college, an all black college. While there he applied several times to the University Of Mississippi, he was finally accepted but not long after they with drew him because of his race.
Meredith filed a suit against Ole Miss, and won.
When going to enroll for classes, James Meredith was blocked by a riot. This riot called for 500 U.S. Marshalls, Military police, The national guard and officials from the U.S. border control and also left two dead. E) Meredith successfully graduated, but had to be guarded his all attendance at
The university of Mississippi.
