I find it interesting that Jane McGonigal in “We Need To Change That Message” discusses the taboo of gaming in our culture. For instance, she point out that despite having generations upon generations of youths growing up with gaming, gamers are still being told that “it’s a waste of time.” This is because of conventional beliefs and fears, if I may so boldly add, as parents are worried that their children become too immersive in the gaming world that they become addicted.
