Q1. How long have you been at La Salle?
A1. I am in my fourth year at La Salle, and will be graduating in May.
Q2. Most memorable moment at La Salle when you were there?
A2. It’s hard to pick just one moment but one of my most memorable moment at La Salle so far would have to be my freshman year as a whole. It was this time I was actually on my own. Not to mention this is when I met almost all of my current friends who have been there for me over the years and many years to come.
Q3.What's the first word that comes to mind when you hear La Salle?
A3.The first word that comes to mind when I hear La Salle is community. For me I think of community because the student body and faculty are all very friendly with each other. Graduated students constantly come back to visit friends or faculty. The friendly community can be seen at any sporting, fraternity/sorority event, as well as other on campus event. The students come out to support each other in these activities.
Q4. In your opinion what is the La Sallian way?
A4.The La Sallian Way is to me is to help out your fellow student, faculty, or community. I believe that helping others is stressed and an important life lesson. If you do not help anyone nobody will really want to help you. So it's important to embrace this idea now, and for the rest of life.
Q5. What was your first impression when you came to La Salle, how has it changed since?
A5. My first impression when I saw La Salle for the first time was a very mixed feeling. I was not sure how I would adapt to being on my own in such a large place. Things were going to be different from high school. Another thing that made a first impression to me waste location. The location did not seem to fit the university, but since learning more about St. John Baptist de La Salle I realized why it was located were it is.
Q6. Why did you choose La Salle?
A6. I chose La Salle because I wanted to go to school in a city, and my parents were too fond of the idea of me leaving the state and ring far away. So I limited it down to the St. Joes, Temple, and La Salle. I chose La Salle because it was not too big like temple and was in a more convenient location to get into the city then St. Joes.
Q7. What activities are or we're you involved with during your time?
A7. While I was at La Salle I participated in various different clubs and events. But the one thing to me was joining Sigma Phi Epsilon, having joined the brotherhood I have never needed to look for something to do. I my opinion it's not just a fraternity it's a group of really good friends who like to spend time with each other and have a good time.
Q8. What La Salle experience will you always remember?
A8. I think being accepted in Sigma Phi Epsilon is an experience I will never forget. Pledging was the best time I never wanted to have again.
Q9. If you had to do it over again would you pick La Salle?
A9.If I could do t all over again I might choose to go to a West Coast school. Not because I do not like La Salle but I have spent my whole life on the east coast and would be cool to experience life differently. Regardless of where I would go it would have to be a Christian Brothers school. I think this is something that separates La Salle and other Christian Brother schools from the rest.
