Within a year’s time, she will have entered Position 2: Multiplicity as she is thrust to an awakening of the diversity of races, ideas, cultures, and backgrounds in the form of the college campus. The experiences of diversity on college campuses are not limited to the obvious race and gender differences, but immediately Jayla will be confronted with peers who are different from her in self-expression of gender identity, culture, and social norms, all of which will clash with her narrow perspective and expectations of values, sense of right and wrong and proper and improper behavior.
